明道中學FRC7130奪裟袈緬度區域賽四強

由美國非營利組織FIRST(For inspiration and recognition of science & technology)主辦的FIRST機器人世界賽，是全球規模最大的高中機器人競賽。明道中學 FRC 7130 Future Shock，參加於3月14日至17日舉行的美國加州Sacramento區域賽，最終以四強之姿作收，為台灣與明道中學爭光。

FRC 專為 14-18歲國高中生所設計，青少年經由參與比賽，科學、技術、工程、數學、藝術（簡稱STEAM），與多項領域的夥伴共同學習團隊合作。FRC已在許多頂尖大學及公司獲得肯定，被視為優秀工程和科學人才，及各項領域未來領袖的重要來源。

今年FRC世界賽的主題為「Crescendo（響徹舞台）」，參賽機器人需完成放擴音器、放揚聲器、登台等任務。明道中學 FRC 7130 Future Shock隊伍克服英文困難與限制，在資格賽中取得佳績，在資格賽中分析策略，臨場反應。聯盟賽中與 Siemens Mobility/ECMC Foundation&Pleasant Grove High School #2073與 復興高中 #6947組成第四聯盟，最終不敵2022世界冠軍The Cheesy Poofs #254，止步四強。

參賽隊伍實力堅強，明道中學FRC團隊能夠獲得四強佳績，實屬不易。感謝團隊所有成員的努力付出，也期盼明年能夠再創佳績。因為雖然沒有取得世界賽門票，但從失敗過程取得珍貴的數據，確保下次能夠再向前邁進！這就是可貴的科學精神，成功不在一時，而是持續進步，不放棄！人生亦然，是個無限賽局！It's a infinite game.

FRC7130在賽後表示： 隨著 2024 年賽季的結束，我們去了舊金山和薩克拉門托地區，遇到了不同的機器人、設計以及不同的人和比賽場景。 這趟旅程得到了許多人的支持才得以完成，感謝5507、5274、1678、2073團隊提供現場和工具協助，感謝2073、6947、8015團隊組成聯盟並留下美好時光，衷心感謝幫助過的團隊和成員修復機器人，你們不僅一下子救了我們，還讓我們看到了遊戲的真諦。 聯盟和對手在賽季中貢獻了一次偉大而難忘的經歷，我們在休賽期學到了很多關於團隊合作、建立基礎和時間管理的知識。 這是有意義的一年，也是團隊進步的重要組成部分，現在下一代繼續前進並閃耀。 向團隊致以最美好的祝福，請記住，當出現麻煩或混亂時，team7130 始終會提供支持和支持。 願所有參與者保持熱情和希望，直到未來帶給我們震撼。

The FIRST Robotics World Championship, organized by the American non-profit organization FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology), is the largest high school robotics competition in the world. Mingdao High School FRC 7130 Future Shock competed in the Sacramento Regional in California, held from March 14 to 17, and finished in the top four, bringing glory to Taiwan.

FRC is designed for high school students aged 14-18. Through participating in the competition, young people learn science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and art (STEAM) and teamwork with partners from various fields. FRC has been recognized by many top universities and companies, and is seen as an important source of outstanding engineering and scientific talent, as well as future leaders in various fields.

The theme of this year's FRC World Championship is "Crescendo". The participating robots need to complete tasks such as placing amplifiers, placing speakers, and taking the stage. The Mingdao High School FRC 7130 Future Shock team overcame the difficulties and limitations of English and achieved good results in the qualification rounds. In the qualification rounds, they analyzed strategies and reacted on the spot. In the alliance competition, they formed the fourth alliance with Siemens Mobility/ECMC Foundation&Pleasant Grove High School #2073 and Fuxing High School #6947. In the end, they lost to the 2022 world champion The Cheesy Poofs #254 and stopped in the top four.

The competing teams were very strong, and it was not easy for the Mingdao High School FRC team to achieve the top four results. Thanks to all the team members for their hard work, and we hope to achieve even better results next year. Although we did not win a ticket to the World Championship, we gained valuable data from the failure process, which will ensure that we can move forward next time! This is the precious scientific spirit. Success is not temporary, but about continuous progress and never giving up! Life is the same, it is an infinite game.

FRC7130 said after the game:

As an ending part of the 2024 season, we went for the San Francisco and Sacramento regional, met with different robots, designs, and also different people and scenery of the game. This journey was fulfilled by support of many, thanks to team 5507, 5274, 1678, and 2073 for providing field and tool assistance, team 2073, 6947, 8015 for assembling the alliance and left wonderful time, sincerely appreciate with the teams and members helped repair the robot, you guys not only saved us at once but also shown us true essence of the game. Alliances and opponents contributed to a great and unforgettable experience during the season, we learned a lot about teamwork, establishing foundations, and time management during the off-season. It has been a meaningful year and a significant part of the team's progression, and now the next generation continues to move forward and shine. May all participants maintain enthusiasm and hope till the future shocks for us.
